Since early mankind walked the face of the
earth, sound and its influence on ‘Consciousness’ have been a matter of
great mystery. Sound has been experimented with, examined, studied and
analysed by many cultures and civilizations for thousands of years. Its
nature is still a mystery to a great many. |

The mystics of India have provided answers
to some of the questions engaging humanity today, such as: What is health?
What is the source of suffering, and how can it be overcome?
Good health, according to Yoga psychology, is the state in which one’s
energy flow (or Prana) circulates evenly throughout the energy systems of
the mind and body. When this flow is interrupted, by interfering with or
breaking some of the Laws of Nature, the body begins to fight back. This is
seen and experienced in the form of different symptoms, including signs of
discomfort and malaise. Ancient peoples knew how to restore the harmony and
rhythm of the body and mind by utilising the power of “sound”.
This practice is called Nada Yoga (or Sound Yoga). It is a path which
explores Consciousness through sounds. The aim of the advanced state of Nada
Yoga is to purify and harmonise the energy fields of the body, and bring
them in alignment with their natural vibration. This represents the opening
of a door at the highest level of awareness, the point at which
consciousness becomes conscious of itself. It is from this state that the
transformation begins, in a purely natural way. All our experiences of love,
joy, peace, health and happiness are orchestrated by our “Consciousness”
acting at this unified level, in the state of Yoga, and are our birthright
to enjoy.
Roop Verma has gained international recognition for his knowledge of this
ancient science. He regularly runs Nada Yoga seminars and retreats, of
varying lengths, in North and Latin America, as well as several European
countries.
